Current Affairs
<> Howdy Folks <>
So - The images above, though short a few trails,
offer a fairly reflective glimpse into the old-world country elegance
of Watershed Woodworks and the projects, approach & design it envisions, with
an emphasis in structural preservation & creative life philosophies and informed upon
by history's rustic tale. The years long restoration of the 1889 William Lyons House (Historic Walking Tour <> Albuquerque NM) presents as a particularly useful example in this regard. Purchased in 2008 and pictured throughout, the storied hacienda
continues to enchant visitors & historians alike - and stands
empirically characteristic of a varied career
now spanning three decades
In addition to this work however - and not pictured - lies
half a lifetime of traditional home builds and "clean lines" architecture
as a subcontracted member of numerous construction entities. This work includes
nearly two decades in the Project Supervisor / Lead Carpenter roll, managing upwards of 10-15 tradesmen at a time and comprising 20+ high-end residences, multi-story additions, structural demolitions, commercial renovations, solar & straw bale homes, as well as several residential home lifts & basement builds completed in and around Telluride,
Albuquerque, Grand Junction, Philadelphia, Eastern Pennsylvania,
Western Oklahoma, Gunnison, Crested Butte & Santa Fe.

<> Professional Philosophy <>
We often hear the phrase "business is business." We hear
it so commonly that we hardly consider the implication - winning the
game at the expense of relationships & meaning. But we can see it different
if we choose, and if we appreciate one simple truth. Games don't enrich our lives ---
People do. Business to me is a wonderful opportunity to discover subtleties of narrative & process within an intuitive trust and a connection to circumstance, whereby the dollar sits secondary to the experience that we're having and a common desire to learn & listen and create beautiful work together. And more often than not, true and lasting friendship is
the culminating result of disregarding the antiquated. As a long time EMT-trained
firefighter and member of the largest disaster response team in the nation, my
commitment to community and people is central to how I enter the
world. It's central to my relationships in life, and central to
my work. To me it's all very much the same. And I
look forward to the friendships yet to be
discovered - And I look forward to
having a little
fun together along the way
